For AR-15 and M16 rifles using a fixed buttstock, the Buttstock Swivel Stud easily and securely screws into the buttstock of the firearm replacing the original gas release pin. The hollow, threaded stud still allows for the release of gas when firing while maintaining the firearm in an upright position as it is carried. No need to worry about uncomfortable firearm recoil from the Buttstock Swivel Stud.
